Whitfield Diffie has long believed that if stealing identities or compromising online systems had required breaking cryptography, then the current state of cybersecurity would be very different. To him, cryptography was always the key security and, perhaps more importantly, privacy technology to help protect individuals. In this keynote, the father of cryptography, will share his thoughts on the long journey PKI has taken, and that has led to the emergence of solutions that are centered around securing individuals in a privacy-centric manner.
