Yuan Zhang is a Senior Product Manager at Chime Financial, responsible for account management and security experience. She launched Chime’s first Security Center—a comprehensive hub empowering customers to manage and safeguard their accounts—and works on optimizing authentication strategy, including passkey, magic link, and one-time passcode (OTP) solutions. Yuan balances robust security measures with a seamless user journey, ensuring Chime’s members can access and protect their financial services with confidence.
Before joining Chime, Yuan was a Senior Product Manager at Cash App, where she led the development of credit risk solutions for Buy Now, Pay Later products. In this role, she focused on credit underwriting, funnel conversion, compliance, and risk management strategies to drive responsible growth and protect customer interests. At Visa, she leveraged her fintech and payments expertise to develop real-time payment solutions. Yuan began her career at Promontory Financial Group, working on banking chartering and licensing. Yuan is also a certified Financial Risk Manager from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
A passionate advocate for secure, user-centric financial products, Yuan draws on her extensive background in fintech, payments, and risk management to shape the future of authentication.
