Anoop Saxena joined the OpenID Foundation in 2017 as a co-chair of the Financial-grade API (FAPI) working group. The goal of the FAPI WG is to provide JSON data schemas, security and privacy recommendations and protocols to enable applications to interact with financial accounts (and other high security use-cases/applications) while enabling users to control security and privacy settings. Anoop has over 29 years of software development experience and holds a master’s in information systems & Cyber Security. He has been an Architect/Principal Engineer with Intuit Inc since 2002, a financial software company that develops and sells financial, accounting, and tax preparation software such as QuickBooks, Mint, CreditKarma, Mailchimp, and TurboTax. He has been a member of many consortiums and working groups that promote a secure and standard way of exchanging data between FinTech companies and banks/partners. He is an active member of the Open Finance Exchange (OFX) consortium (merged into FDX), Co-Chair of the OpenID Connect-Financial API working group (FAPI), an active member of FDX-TRC (Technical Review Committee) and contributes to various task groups in the Financial Data Exchange (FDX).
