Bio
Clare Nelson, is the Executive Director for the Decentralized Identity Foundation (DIF). Clare is an entrepreneurial executive, technologist, author, and speaker with a proven track record in strategic product planning, alliances, P&L, and revenue responsibility. Clare’s career spans cybersecurity, privacy and identity. Her identity expertise includes identity proofing, MFA, biometrics, IGA, PAM, Decentralized Identity, and Self-Sovereign Identity. Clare was a founding member of IDPro and contributed to the IDPro Body of Knowledge (BoK). Clare has held leadership roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Saviynt, Sedicii, AllClear ID, Novell, and Dell. Clare has a B.S. in Mathematics from Tufts University. She is a second-generation yogi and technologist.
