The Cambridge Housing Authority completed its journey to FIDO2 passwordless authentication in early 2022, leveraging Windows Hello for Business to replace passwords with device-based PINS. The rollout has been a success, with the vast majority of our user base now use PINs and find the login experience vastly improved.
This presentation will include details on our journey to passwordless from conceptualization through implementation. It will also present the results of an upcoming survey geared to more closely gauge user impressions of the passwordless authentication experience, including:
- Passwordless conversion rate
- Authentication methods in use
- Impressions of biometric authentication
- For what situations, if any, do users still use their CHA password?”
