Passkeys have been all the rage over the last year. Launched in 2022 as a password replacement that is safer, faster, and easier to use, passkeys are an evolutionary response within the FIDO specification to accelerate global adoption of FIDO capabilities to help achieve the FIDO Alliance’s mission to help reduce the world’s over-reliance on passwords. Early adoption across many consumer web sites has been steady and encouraging. However, if you are an Enterprise and are considering passkeys for Enterprise use cases, you may be wondering whether passkeys will work in your environment. Join us to hear some of the considerations that Relying Parties (RPs) should make as they evaluate making the move to passkeys. Do you have any compliance requirements that can’t be met through a multi-device credential? Are there any specific security considerations that warrant a device-bound passkey? What is your organization’s appetite for risk as you consider passkey management across passkey provider ecosystems? By the end of this session, we will share the top considerations for RPs and guide the audience through the thought processes to address them so that each RP can make the best decision based on local requirements and situations.
