Resolving the Tradeoffs of Device-Based Authenticators

The promise and pull of passwordless authentication is immense. However, one of the main contentions of the approaches delivered so far, which have relied on device-based authenticators, is that they do not actually provide assurance on who is behind a transaction. In this presentation, we will introduce some new frameworks that address the tradeoffs in this area and suggest ways that that they can coexist with device-based approaches to close the circle of identity based on biometrics.
