The New Passkey Threat Model

With the release of passkeys, FIDO credentials have fundamentally changed. When moving from credentials that are hardware bound to credentials that may be synchronized via providers’ sync fabrics, the threat model associated with using FIDO credentials has also changed. In this session, we’ll explore the new threat model of passkeys to help organizations determine how passkeys fit in to their authentication workflows. Attendees can expect to leave with a better understanding of passkeys and how to threat model their own deployment.
