Bio
James E Leslie (Jay) is a security-forward IT leader with over 20 years’ experience in the government and nonprofit space. Jay’s IT and information security career began in the passwords-optional 1990s when as an intern he stumbled across an unsecured spreadsheet containing salary information.
Jay was a happy IT “hardware guy” through much of the twenty-aughts but seeing the impact of Nicholas Carr’s book “Does IT Matter?”, he transitioned to IT management with a cloud-focus, embracing both the cloud’s benefits and unique information security challenges. His career over the past several years has veered sharply to information security.
Jay holds CISSP and CCSP certificates from (ISC)2, an MPA from New York University and a BA from Rutgers University. Jay is currently Senior Technical Advisor with Easy Dynamics.
Jay lives in the Boston, MA area with his wife and teenage son.
