Jerrod Chong is Chief Solutions Officer at Yubico where he focuses on evolving identity and authentication solutions to align with customers, partners and market demands. Jerrod has delivered numerous presentations on modern authentication, and open standards at leading IT Security, and Identity conferences, including Black Hat, Identiverse (formerly Cloud Identity Summit), Gartner IAM, KNOW, and many others.
Jerrod has more than 20 years of IT security experience specializing in architecting, deploying, and supporting enterprise solutions. Prior to Yubico, Jerrod was Vice President of Engineering at Pointsec Mobile Technologies and Global Endpoint Solution Manager at Check Point Software Technologies where he lead his team in data security and solutions.
He has proven success working with large Global 2000 customers and recognizes that enterprise customers are not the only entity that benefits from secure authentication. Jerrod advocates for affordable solutions with a focus on useability to provide security for at-risk individuals and vulnerable communities.
Jerrod received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan. Jerrod is passionate about making strong authentication secure, simple, and scalable. If he’s not convincing you that hardware-backed keys are cool, he is looking for good coffee.
