Aidan McCarty is a serial entrepreneur and a Stanford dropout. He is a Forbes 30 Under 30 founder of Unum ID (www.unumid.co), a digital identity startup backed by Tim Draper, Stanford professors, Franklin Templeton and Samsung NEXT. Unum ID is the leader in reusable digital identity, working with Fortune 500 companies and startups to build a network of verified users who own and control their data – empowering 1-Click proof of identity anywhere online. Prior to Unum ID, he created Be Heard (weshouldbeheard.org), ran SENSA Labs — Stanford’s top social entrepreneurship incubator — for two years, and taught Hacking4Defense, a program bringing lean innovation into the DoD.
Aidan has spoken at a wide range of different venues. These include: Rotary and Kiwanis clubs across California, lecturing to classes at Stanford and Mills College, interviews on podcasts, TV, and local radio, and speaking at conferences like LA Blockchain Summit, TechCrunch Disrupt and Boston FinTech Week.
