Bio
Teresa Wu is responsible for the smart credential business of IDEMIA North America business unit. Previously, Teresa oversaw 5 product portfolios leveraging technologies including cloud computing, digital identity, identity document, and biometric solution. In her current role, Ms. Wu serves as a cross-functional team leader to drive client success and program delivery activities within the smart credential business, bringing her extensive experience and domain expertise to focus on Innovation, Strategy, Program delivery, and Industry Engagement.
In the past 20 years, she has actively led various industry advocacy groups devoted to AFIS technology, facial recognition, public security, and identity and biometric standards. The Security Industry Association named Ms. Wu as one of the two recipients of the 2017 Statesman Award. Ms. Wu was recognized for her pivotal role in the association’s advocacy effort for the effective and appropriate use of biometric technology at the Federal and State government levels. Ms. Wu is a board member of FIDO Alliance, the Security Industry Association, and a member of the Secure Technology Alliance mobile driver’s license initiative. in 2023, Ms. Wu was part of the SIA Women in Security Forum Power 100 which honored women who are role models for actively advancing diversity, inclusion, innovation, and leadership in the security community.
